Marita has developed a series of popular writing workshops, I Want to Write, a workshop that will jumpstart your writing life, Imagi-nation, a 2-day Fiction Writing Intensive and Tell Your Story True a 2-Day Memoir/Autobiography Workshop.
Becoming a skilled writer unleashes demons, doubt, fears and anxieties for which writers are often unprepared. Many who want to write fear they lack the talent or tenacity required of the dedicated writer. Marita leads workshops where these subjects are not taboo, are discussed openly and where writers find and create community. Through writing exercises inspired by her many years as a master teacher, participants break through the psychological barriers that cripple their attempts to write with regularity and confidence.

Imagi-Nation: A 2-Day Advanced Fiction Writing Intensive. In this fiction writing boot camp, writers who are working on an in-progress fiction narrative (short story/novel) learn how to plunge characters into the deep end of the ocean of their imagination and create a plot that surprises and satisfies the reader. For writers familiar with basic fiction techniques.
Tell Your Story True: A 2-Day Memoir/Autobiography Workshop. In this workshop writers learn how to honor the truth of their unique personal story and master the techniques that can make it memorable. The questions inspired by writing stories based on your life are often challenging and can derail the writing process. This class gets you back on track.
